Elle is my first Made-to-Move bodied custom.
I got the head as a loose item off eBay, it was added as a gift to some other heads that I bought.
This head was meant to be fitted to a 2017 Barbie Fashionistas nr.72 'Overall Awesome' (FJF37) doll and has the 2010 'Raquelle' face sculpt.
This particular head was missing some plugs of hair in the outer row lining the face.
Most of the hair is a light teal color, only the outer row is in shades of brown, so the missing plugs were quite obvious.
This face has a face-up with very little make-up, which gives it a bit of a sporty, girl-next-door look.
That and the slightly smaller eyes make it look more realistic, somewhere in between most Barbie faces and CG faces.
Fortunately the eyes of this face are printed 'straight': 'Raquelle' heads are prone to having the eyes printed too far apart, just as with 'New Summer' heads.
Apart from the missing hair plugs it is a head that I did not know what to do with: to me the head looks better on a slim body than on a CG-style body and at the time I did not have any slim bodies that matched the skin tone.
The face is just too beautiful to drop in my spares box though.
Fortunately, some time later I found some discounted Made-to-Move dolls, including a Daisy-faced 2016 Skateboarder Teresa (DVF70) with a matching skin tone.
First thing I did was adding the missing plugs of hair. The closests color I had was Mocha Brown saran, which is slightly lighter but not in a distracting way.
I used the same method as for adding more plugs to Bo: take a plug of hair, tie a knot in the middle of the plug and pull each end of the plug from the neck hole up through an adjacent hole.
After adding the hair plugs I untied her hair, but untied the hair looks mostly teal with a few brown streaks, so I tied the hair up again.
Next I took the MtM figure apart and fitted the Raquelle head.
The ankles of the MtM body were a bit floppy, I fixed this for now by pulling a small length of tan embroidery thread into the joints.
I dressed her in a genuine Barbie dress, a 2013 Fashionistas Fashion purple, pink and blue glitter halter dress (X7841).
The dress looks stylish, yet sporty enough to go with the white sneakers that came with the flat footed MtM body.
